Tour d’Mura – Along the paths of mills and river ferries
Around 35 km of flat terrain with just a bit of asphalt and plenty of country trails. This recreational ride will pass by front-row views of the Mura river, its side arms, lakes, and wetland birds. You will ride past old mills and traditional river ferries and hear stories and legends from the days when swords and magic ruled the land.
This region also holds a special place in history as the site of the world’s first oil exploration. This cycling postcard will last up to four hours, with several breaks for stories and legends. And yes—there will be time for a coffee or ice cream too.

Tour d’Mura – The Amazon of Europe for curious explorers
40 km of flat terrain with just a little asphalt and lots of countryside trails. You’ll enjoy front-row views of the Mura River, its arms, lakes, and wetland birds—but if the water level allows, you might even step on stage. That’s right—curious explorers can dip their feet in the Mura and snap some striking photos right from its surface.
Some trail sections are more demanding, so be prepared to walk your bike briefly here and there. But that’s part of the charm—this experience will show you exactly why Mura is called the Amazon of Europe.
This recreational ride also passes by old mills, river ferries, and the region’s surprising role in the world’s first oil exploration.

Mađerka’s Dance – Up and down the rolling hills
Upper Međimurje is known for its charming hills. While the Mura River flows at just 155 meters above sea level, some nearby “peaks” rise up to 340 meters. From up there, the view stretches far and wide—on clear days, you’ll be treated to a stunning 360° panorama that sweeps across Croatian, Slovenian, Hungarian, and even distant Austrian landscapes.
This ride blends riverside views, fascinating local sights, and gentle slopes covered in forests and vineyards. It’s about 55 km long and, with an easy pedal pace and plenty of scenic stops, will take around five hours to enjoy.
